John 'Big Ben' Davis welcomes everyone to attend and he will feature, live music, sketch artists, a balloon lady, magic, a working replica of RD-D2 and a silent auction, and FUN...

'Blade Runner' new film is sequel set in the future, confirm producers:

Ridley Scott's new Blade Runner movie will be a sequel, producers have confirmed.

The new movie, which was announced last year, is to be set "some years after the first film concluded".

Hampton Fancher, who was co-writer of the original Blade Runner movie with David Webb Peoples, is also in talks to reunite with Scott on the follow-up.

Alcon Entertainment producers Andrew Kosovoe and Broderick Johnson said in a statement: "It is a perfect opportunity to reunite Ridley with Hampton on this new project - one in fact inspired by their own personal collaboration [and] a classic of cinema if there ever was one."

Scott had hinted that a sequel was on the cards during an interview last winter.

Alcon denied in February that original Blade Runner star Harrison Ford was in talks to reprise his role as replicant hunter Rick Deckard, dismissing speculation around his potential involvement as "patently false".

Thanos future teased by Marvel Comics executive:

Thanos will have a major role in a forthcoming Marvel Comics title, the publisher has hinted.

The Mad Titan returned to the Marvel Universe after a year-long absence in this week's Avengers Assemble #3, and executive editor Tom Brevoort has teased big plans for the character.

"Since we designed Avengers Assemble to be a nice, easy entry point for people coming out of the film, for all that it still exists within our current Marvel Universe, it was a bit of a no-brainer to have Thanos be the villain behind our first storyline," he said.

"More than simply bringing him back, this storyline will be setting him up for bigger things that are just off on the horizon - it's the first step towards something we've been working on behind the scenes for a while now."

Brevoort's comments have sparked rumors that writer Brian Michael Bendis could go on to tackle the character in a Guardians of the Galaxy reboot when his run on Avengers comes to an end.

Thanos was briefly seen in Joss Whedon's Avengers film during a post-credits sequence, hinting that he will also have a role to play in the Marvel movie universe.
